Greetings! Thank you for stopping by my site and checking out my work. Let me tell you a little bit more about myself….
I have my Bachelors of Art in Art with a focus in photography from St. Mary's College of Maryland. I moved to Los Angeles from Maryland after graduation where I worked as a freelance photographer before deciding to follow my childhood dream to become a special fx artist and follow in the footsteps of my makeup heroes, Ve Niell & Rick Baker, as well as many others.
I enrolled in the Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts in the summer of '06 and completed their makeup for motion picture and television course, where I studied beauty and special effects. I was very fortunate to study under Christie Leister for beauty makeup and some very well established artists in the industry as guest instructors, such as Dalbert Buitrago for high fashion and runway, Gordon Banh for avant garde, Kaori Turner for Geisha makeup and frequent visits and lessons from the school's founder and Marvin Westmore. For special effects makeup I was again very fortunate to study under Mike Pack where I learned blood work, cuts, scars, sutures, bald caps, prosthetics, eyeballs, teeth, bruises, broken noses, 2-d wounds, 3-d wounds, burns, old age makeup, and the list goes on. I also learned hair laying for beard and mustache work from guest instructor Mark Bussan.
After graduation and becoming a certified makeup artist, I jumped in with both feet and have been working in the film and television industry. I love the creativity and challenges I am faced with and look forward to every day of it. I have also had the great luck to meet and work with amazing celebrities, actors, directors, producers, fellow makeup artists and many other great crew members.
